About My Approach
I value creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and honest space where we can explore your needs and work toward your goals. I believe the therapeutic relationship is most effective when it is collaborative, and I encourage open feedback so that our work continues to feel supportive and aligned with what you need. This process is about you, your healing, your growth, and your journey.
Therapy can be a space for exploration and transformation. Together, we will examine your relationships with yourself and others, challenge and shift harmful beliefs, and build upon your existing strengths and coping abilities. You may find yourself growing in your ability to advocate for your needs, set boundaries, and make meaningful behavioral changes. My approach draws on a range of evidence based modalities, including psychodynamic therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
My journey toward becoming a therapist was inspired by my own lived experiences with eating disorder recovery and trauma healing. As a first-generation college graduate and multi-ethnic Latina, I bring a perspective informed by resilience, cultural context, and a deep commitment to honoring each client’s unique story.
I approach my therapeutic work through an actively anti-racist and anti-oppression lens. I deeply value and respect the diversity of human life and experiences, including diversity in gender identity, sexual orientation, age, abilities, race, ethnicity, nationality, and religious or spiritual beliefs.
